I met Doc Sipe in 1997 and I instantly liked him. He was quick witted, funny, and friendly. Thanks for making a vacation out west memorable.

"Doc" Sipe's photo is not him, he smiled and laughed a lot. I met him through his interest in Bigfooting. Then for years we went to lunch at his favorite Chinese restaurant. "Doc" was fun but most importantly, he took good care of his wife, natural plus family, and community. Rightfully so, Lloyd was very proud of his Kiwanis youth work.

In October 2008, I was a temporary resident of the Beaverton Hills assisted-living home, while my legs recovered enough from serious injuries so I could put weight on my feet and return to a rehabilitation center to relearn to walk. Looking for company at dinner one evening, I found a table for four occupied by only two, who invited me to trundle my wheel-chair up to join them. It turned out to be Lloyd and Carolyn, who welcomed me warmly. Lloyd evidently needed the ear of someone who had never heard his stories, and I was very glad to oblige. It made my stay at the home much more pleasant to be able to look forward to hearing more of Lloyd's fascinating tales about a veterinarian's adventures, a father's responsibilities and fine insights into life in general told in his inimitable humorous style during three meals every day. My all-too brief encounter with Lloyd left fine memories to last forever.

Awesome veterinarian and kind man. I still go to Vista Pet where his legacy of animal care lives on. My condolences to the family

While my personal encounters with Dr. Sipe were casual and date back to the early 1970's, I was reminded by his photo and obituary that son's often adopt and reflect the good and kind characteristics of their father's. This was certainly the case with Rick and Glenn who were classmates at Beaverton High School. While a time to grieve, your father led a good long life and left behind a tremendous legacy.

"Doc" Sipe was a good friend and fellow outdoorsman who had a wonderful sense of humor and had a gift for story telling. He will be greatly missed amongst his fellow Bigfoot research affilliates. Rest In Peace my friend.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of a great friend, Lloyd "Doc" Sipe. He and Carmen were very good friends of all of us in The Western Bigfoot Society of Portland, Oregon.
He always had great stories to tell and kept us all entertained around the campfire on our many trips in and around the forrests of Washington, Oregon and British Columbia.
He had a kind heart and even took my dog Darsea home with him one night and saved her life by removing a very large Gall Stone.
I know I speak for all of the members of the WBS when I say Lloyd will be remembered with kindness and respect by everyone who knew him.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Some of my fondest memories are working for Dr. Sipe at the veterinary hospital 1975 - 1982. He will be missed.
