I am so sad to read of Matt's passing. I was looking for contact information for you guys (trying to get together the original heli-skiing group for a party). As I sit here and write this, I smile thinking about how funny Matt was doing the "8 Seconds" wave after ripping up 500 meters of vertical. God, I am so sorry and so sad... the world lost a great raconteur and a loving husband and dad. I am going to go home tonight and watch the tape from that epic week. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the kids.

My dear Brother is has been almost three months since you have been gone. It still hurts like it happened today. Tomorrow would of been your 51st birthday. I miss you so, I don't know that you will ever understand how your death has affected me. I love you Matt and I miss you....

Laurie, Tyson, Tanis & Taryn . . .I'm so very sorry for your loss. I wish there were something I could do or say that would ease your pain. I am so very thankful to have met your family and been able to have some fantastic adventures with all of you together. The best powder days of my life were spent chasing you guys, especially Matt, down the mountain! I will never step foot on Mt. Hood again without thoughts of Matt and your family. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers and Matt will forever remain a bright spot in my heart and memories.

Laurie,Tyson,Tanis&Taryn,Yoy don't know me,but your dad and I were great friends through Jr. High and High school. We had a lot of fun together.One day we made the worlds largest chocolate chip cookie.From now on every time that I eat one I will think of Matt. I'm so sorry for your loss.

dear laurie and family-- i am so saddened to hear of matt's passing and your family's terrible loss. i will always remember with such fondness, yours and matt's friendship while were in that stupid aerobics class as ccc. and the two of you taking a trip over the willamette falls while you were pregnant with tyson! matt probably planned that-- he so loved an adventure. a true sparkly light just went out in this earth, now forever in heaven, looking down on his loved ones now from above with fierce love and protection. my thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family laurie. love to you.
