(nee Sally)
Passed away peacefully at Riverpark Place Retirement Residence, surrounded by her adoring family on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the age of 86. Wife of the late Grant James McGlashan. Dear mother of Sally Stinson (David), Wendy Murtagh (Bryan), Robert McGlashan (Lynne), Brian McGlashan (Betsy). Loving grandmother to Jennifer, Sherri, Shelley, Bonnie, Julie, Lindsay, Jamie, Allison, Stephanie, Sarah, Brittany and great- grandmother of 10. Beloved sister of Velva Driscoll, Fern Couvrette, Edward Sally (Rita), and Norma Larock. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Riverpark Place. Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Byron) on Wednesday, February 29 from 12 noon until the time of the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2 p.m. A reception will follow in the lounge. Inurnment will be in the spring. In lieu of flowers, a charitable donation to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

I will not be able to attend the funeral unfortunately. I am in Florida visiting my daughter Nancy. I return to Ottawa late on March 1st.

My deepest sympathy to you and all of your family on the passing of your mother.
Your mom was a very special woman. One of my fondest memories was when I was 5 years old and living with Grandpa for the year. I used to walk down on my own to visit my Aunt Edith and Uncle Grant. They were always very welcoming and I really enjoyed and treasured these visits. Your mom and dad gave me a great sense of family and my own independence. I will always remember your mom as a wonderful loving person.
