1939-2011
Darryl A. Barber, age 71, of Pace, FL, passed away July 14, 2011. He was born in Baton rouge, LA, he served in the Navy from 1957 until 1963. He owned and operated D.A. Barber & Sons Jewelers for 13 years in Baton Rouge, LA and First Professional Jewelers in Milton, FL for 16 years until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abner and Joyce Barber; and a sister, Myrtle Soileau.
He was survived by his wife of 33 years, Ann Barber; three sons, Darryl, Clint and Justin; two daughters, Stephanie Williams and Dellanie Almond; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and a brother, Gary Barber of Baton Rouge, LA.
Funeral services will be Tuesday July 19, 2011 at 11:30 AM at the Chapel of National Cremation & Burial Society. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow at 1:15 PM at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola with Navy Funeral Honors. Online condolences may be made at www.nationalcremation.com.

Ann and family we are sad about Darryl . We will miss him. He never took life too seriously , which either made you crazy or made you laugh . He was a good ole guy . Time will make things easier and you will find comfort in your memories .

Darryl was a true character. He had an opinion about everything, but would listen to your views. He grinned when he talked to you and made you feel like you were part of his world. We will all miss him.
My sympathies to Ann, Stephanie, Darryl, Clint, Dellanie, and Justin & their families. Life will be different without Darryl around.
