On the realization that it has been almost six months since we said goodbye to this humble man who touched so many, I had to take time to remember how his beautiful family must think of him daily. Queen of Peace needs many candles to fill our church with the light we lost in Msgr. Jimmy. With all the lives he touched here remind us to keep his joyful, kind and often-times teasing spirit alive in our parish where many of us miss him dearly. Our prayers to Msgr. Matteo's family.

As a parishioner for of Queen of Peace, I was greatly touched by Father Matteo's loving service. He was a blessed gift to us. I have many happy memories of Father, but one of my best is when he called me late one Monday night to tell me I had won $55,000 in the Queen of Peace lottery! Rest in Peace and enjoy your well desrved riches in Heaven, dear Father Matteo.

Our prayers for the family of Msgr. I frst met him when I was very young visiting my grandmother on Croskey St. When I was in college, I met him when he was a deacon on the train, I was going to DE and he to Chester and we visited. He was the most friendly and cheerful person I had ever met. I always thought he had the biggest and brightest smile and he made the most of his time here. God bless him for the good memories he left all who met him.

I was a teenager when Msgr. Matteo came to Our Lady of Consolation as Assistant Pastor, and we were so happy to have a young priest! He rejuvenated the parish with his love and fellowship. He restarted the CYO, which provided safe and fun activities for us at the time. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
