How you guys doing? Thinking about you a lot, counting on you to watch over us with a protective eye. We sure had some good times, eh?

Dame, it's been nearly 3-years; & Mike it's a year ago today. I think of you both every day. Mike, I just listened to your last song. It is a very sweet sorrow for me every time I hear it.
I hope you guys are enjoying volleyball and other activities. You couldn't ask for a better companion to be spending eternity with.
Keep a watchful eye on all of us, and leave a light on so we know where to find you. Hugs and kisses...

Sitting here listening to Van the Man, looking at the picture of Mike with his arm around Damon's shoulder. It is the perfect picture, and it comforts me to know the two of you are together.

Yo Cuz, your bells are at the top of my Christmas tree draped over the Angel's shoulder.

Damon G fans everywhere were sad again yesterday (10-22-07). It's hard to imagine it has been a year. You are missed and loved so much; and you are still touching our lives every day. Cuz, your light still shines brightly; and I am a better man, spouse, and parent because of it.
I read something interesting yesterday, and it was fitting that it was on the anniversary of your passing.
In part (from Billy Graham)...
There is no sadness in Heaven. In Heaven we will be forever in Christ's "glorious presence without fault and with great joy." Not only that, but in Heaven we will be free from all evil, and we will never again be touched by anything hurtful. Not only will we be free from evil, but we won't even fear it, because it simply won't exist. Anxiety and insecurity will never touch us - which is one reason why Heaven will be a place of great joy.
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me."
But there is another reason why we will be supremely happy in Heaven - and that is because we will be with Christ. Then we will realize just how much God loves us. We also will rejoice in God's goodness to us during our lives on earth.
You're a good man Damon G. Let's continue our chats this next year. What do you say?
I love you and miss you...

Cuz, what a party we threw in your honor. I know you were there, but it would have been nice to put my arms around you. We're thinking and talking about you everyday. You would be so pleased to see how everyone has come together, like we were kids again. Love you & miss you, your cuz...

It was with total shock to hear of our wonderful Damons passing. We thought of Damon as a friend as well as our postman. As others have already stated we had many conversations about all sorts of subjects. Just seeing his smiling face made our day. We have a little story about Damon we would like to share. On garbage day I would return home from work around 3:00 p.m. and our garbage cans would always be returned to their storaged "nook". I always thought my husband put them back before leaving for work. After I retired I heard someone wheeling the cans, looked out and as you might have guessed it was DAMON! When I asked why he said he had to walk up the driveway to the mailbox so why not. Damon was such a wonderful, kind man and he touched so many lives. He was one of a kind, he will be missed. Please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss.

Damon was our Postman on Cadberry Ct. in USC and I can only echo what everyone else has written. He was a complete person and on a number of occasions we had an opportunity to chat about life in general and I was always touched by Damon's wonderful outlook and his ever so pleasant demeanor. He will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

To Damon's Family,
I was a casual friend of Damon's. I cannot express the saddness I felt whenever I was told of his passing. My first thoughts were how much he loved life and the second, his smile. Please accept my sympathy. Damon was a marvelous person who will be missed by more people than you know.

Dear Friends,
What can I say? Indeed the world is a better place for Damon's being here. I am sorry that I cannot come to pay my respects but my schedule doesn't permit me. I do want to say how your entire family impressed me. Your care and concern for Damon, for each other touched me so deeply. I pray for all of you. Damon is at peace and I know he will continue to do good for all of us. May the richness of the memories you all shared now be a source of comfort and strength for each of us.
My love and prayers,
Michelle

My deepest sympathy to the family of Damon. I have a store in the south hills and Damon was my mailman. He was a wonderful person and we will surely miss him. When Damon would come into the store he would often comment on the music that was playing in the store. We would share our favorite songs and he often knew so many of the older songs. I would play some and he would guess what the title was. I gave him a CD for Christmas last year by Eva Cassidy. She also passed at a young age. He said he really liked her music. Now when I listen to that music I will fondly think of Damon. It's true...only the good die young. I hope you feel some peace knowing that Damon has gone "home".
