DAVID OCTAVI Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 2 to Jan. 3, 2011.
OCTAVI DAVID
Suddenly, on Monday, December 6, 2010 of Spring Garden, age 74. Beloved husband of Paula, his wife of 44 years; father of David and John; grandfather of David Ryan. Dave was preceded in death by his parents Julius and Nellie Octavi; two sisters, Marisa Medina and Delores Pistella; one brother, Jack Octavi. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Dave was a self-employed painter and upon retirement became a volunteer and part-time employee of United Cerebral Palsy of Pittsburgh. He also volunteered at Animal Friends, and received many awards for his work with the dogs. His current canine companion, Shadow, will miss him and their daily walks. Dave was a caring, compassionate person, with a keen sense of humor. He delighted in sharing this with others. To honor Dave's wishes, he was cremated. There was no visitation and services were private. Arrangements by STEPHEN M. BRADY 920 Cedar Avenue (across from Allegheny General).
