The Great JoAnn Dear. I remember so well back in the day when Jerusalem was really kicking. There was another great man by the name of James Darrington. James put JoAnn, Tootsie and Doris Darrington together to do a trio. You can imagine the rest. I can still remember them singing "Just Tell Jesus". Sleep on JoAnn you left your mark behid.

To the entire Dear family. I've known Joann for my entire life. Joann sung with my mom on many occassions. Over the years I realized that Joann was my protege. I am most grateful that I had the opportunity of sharing life with her. There will ever be another Joann Dear. Behind Every Dark Cloud There Is A Silver Lining. I will always remember and retain her in my spirit. May God Bless & Keep you is my prayer.

Mothers Never Really Die, They Just Keep House Up in the Sky
Who keeps the moon beams silvery bright
While the stars twinkle in sheer delight
Who lights the sunshine every day
Who makes the gray clouds turn away
Who sweeps the heavens floors above
Who mops and clean with all of her love
Mother's never really die, they just keep house up in the sky
Who comforts you to sleep each night
And sing you a lull-a-bye with sheer delight
Who chases the blues away each day
And listen with God as he hear you pray
Who puts the song in the robin to sing
Who polishes and straighten the angel's wings
Mothers Never Really Die they just Keep house up in the sky
So don't be sad and don't be blue
Because she still watches over you
Don't be angry ‘cause she had to leave
Just think of all her memories
She continues to make the moon beams bright
And continue to shine through her children's light
Mothers never really die, they just keep house up in the sky
Love

Some years ago I was a member of Christ Baptist Church, before relocating out of the area. On this one particular Sunday this young lady sang a song "He looked beyond my faults and saw my needs". I was going thru perhaps the most immense trial of my life she ministered thru song in such a way that has lasted well over these fifteen years. I did not know her or her family but may GOD bless and keep you. Just know that this is one life she impacted so long ago.
