My deepest sympathies to Adrienne and the Friel family. I got to know Mike as a teenager when he and his family moved in across the street and remember all the times he and my dad snuck outside to have a cigarette. He was the only one to call me Cackins--what a character!! He will be greatly missed.

Our family will always remember Mike living on Hollywood Avenue, the kids in the neighborhood loved to play "ding, dong, ditch" on a weekly basis. Mike caught on to our games finally; and hide in the bushes one evening and caught us. Mike never told our parents and we often smile when we talk about growing up on Hollywood Avenue with Mike Friel. With Love, The Keane Family.

I will always remember Mike kindly. While at CCRI, he was always willing to offer guidance and assistance. He would stop me in the halls and check in on how I was doing in my computer classes and offer help on programs that I was stuck on.
A few years later, Mike became a friendly face at Governor Francis Inn. I remember many nights talking about Kavanagh Family history. I'll always appreciate the time I spent with Mike and my Father recalling their time growing in Cranston.
I pray that Mike is now free of pain and can rest in peace.
Our thoughts go out to Adrienne, Chris, Scott, and Kerry in this difficult time.
