I am sad for all of us left behind. Uncle Rollie brought our family solace when we lost Ken. It makes me smile to think of the mischief they can create together again.

I first met Rollie in 1987. I was one of those lives he helped to "save," and I will never forget him. He was always there when you needed him. A great dad and mom to the kids. Over the years, we had many conversations about staying on track. He always managed a smile, even when he was sick. That old Trans Am was a trademark of the man I knew - tough. My condolences to the family.

I remember the Armed Forces Day when the big flag went up. I was looking at my photos the other day and there was Rollie and the Iron Nation taking the flag from the road over the fence to the pole. I will always remember Rollie and visions of him walking his big white dog or riding his bike around town. I met Rollie through Brandon and Raeven at the high school. Your Dad was a good man and he will be missed.

Rollie was a great friend and Brother to me. One of a kind. A kind and gentle man, a man of honor. It didn't matter if it was three o'clock in the morning or three in the after noon, if you called and needed help he was there. I will always remember the many rides we use to take over the years, and the one last year. I was truly blessed to have you as my friend. I'll miss you. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. God Bless...

I only knew Rollie to say hello in passing and playing cards at the El Cap. But I did observe that he was a very compassionate and kind man and a wonderful father. I will miss seeing him walking around with his dog almost as big as him! :)

I met Rollie in Vietnam, we were both in Alpha Co. 7th. M.T. Bn.(67-68). I thought about him for 40 years but wasn't sure where he lived.
Last Feb. I finally located him & we
had a great visit on the phone, he told me that he had also wondered what happened to me. We visited by phone several times over the past year. I last talked to Rollie last month & he sounded very weak, I was trying to be strong for him but I failed miserably. He was a good Marine & a good friend & I wll surely miss him but will never forget him.
Our thoughts & Prayers are with Raeven & the entire Family during this time of sorrow.

Semper Fi My Friend,

J.R.

You were a great guy to have breakfast with at Scotty's in the morning. I will never forget going around the backside of the lake when the highway was closed due to wind. You are the only one I know that could made it through in a trans am. I will miss your smile and seeing you on your motorcycle around town. My prayers are with your family and friends that are hurting. I hope they know how many lives you have touched, and how many lives you have SAVED!! God Bless**

I first knew Rollie as my older brother's buddy. He was at our house a lot when I was a kid and my parents thought the world of him. I later served with Rollie in the Nevada Army National Guard. He was a stellar soldier, he had a great sense of humor and and was a good guy. I hope he and my brother, Don, are laughing it up about the good times they shared as kids in the '50s and '60s. My best wishes and thoughts go out to Rollie's family.

I am so sorry to hear about what happened. But I do have some amazing moments that I'll always remember with rollie. As you know I went through a lot in my past with drug, and I'll never forget the last day of class when he handed me a coin that said serinity on it. He told me that If I ever felt like doing drugs again to bite on that coin and if I got it to break in half than I could go back to doing drugs. He gave me such hope just by listening to his wonderful stories, that I have never once gone back to drugs. That's been almost 5 years ago and his little comments come into mind everytime I think about my past. He inspired me to be myself and I appriciate everything he ever did for me. You all have such a wonderful father and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart simply because I had the chance to get to know him. I'm very sorry for your loss, and my prayers go out to your family. Take care of each other, and always remember he's not very far away.
Love Always,
