Earl Metts Obituary
Earl Allen Metts, a decorated veteran retired with honors and distinction, passed into the Lord's hands on February 28, 2011 at the age of 70. Born in Charleston, South Carolina, he is survived by his beloved wife, Frances Boyle Metts, his children Allison Metts Reichenau, Alan Metts and Alana Metts-Smith, a sister and five grandchildren. A masonic memorial service will be held Saturday, March 5th at 11am at Bethesda Christian Institute, 2210 Basse Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Shriners Hospitals for Children. View more at www.meadowlawn.net.

Earl and I were stationed together in Samsun, Turkey, Kelly AFB, Texas (HQ USAFSS) and at Yokota AB, Japan. He was a good friend and is sorely missed.

Frances, love!! Earl was such a special guy, as you well know. His love for you and his children and grand children was so obvious to everyone who knew him. He was such a supporter of his Lord, family, country and his Cadence family and we all loved him. He will be missed. My love and prayers to you and all your family.

Frances.....Earl was a wonderful guy! I have such fond memories of clogging with him. So sad to hear of his passing, but I have a feeling he is clogging in a really cool place right now :-) My heart goes out to you and your family....

EARL was my roommate for a while in Bremerhaven. He loved the Air Force and life.
It was good to get back in touch with him last year and will keep him and Frances in my prayers.

Earl and Frances were one of the fun couples that smoothed our transition to loving to square dance. We send gentle prayers for Frances. She was Earl's true love and he was truly blessed.

Earl Metts was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and a good friend to everyone who knew him. His wife Frances was the light of his life and together they created strong Christian marriage, a loving home and a beautiful family. Earl loved his country and served it well.
