Fabian Tijerina Obituary
Fabian Ti jerina went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2010 a t the age of 80. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fabian and Matiana Trevino Ti jerina; brothers, Pedro Serna, Jose Leon, Salome, Dionicio and Miguel Ti jerina; sisters, Tomasa T. Felan, Antonlina T. Segundo and Jesusa T. Duron. Mr. Ti jerina is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Ofelia Flores Ti jerina; son, Johnny (Delores) Ti jerina; daughters, Beatrice T. (Heriberto) Garcia, Delia T. Revilla, Virginia Ti jerina, Angelita (Ernest) Elizondo and Anita F. Ti jerinia; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Visitation will begin 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening at the funeral home. A procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 for a 10:00 a.m. mass at St. Joseph South San. Interment to follow in Chilipitin Cemetery in Charlotte, TX. Services under the direction of:

Dear Tia Ofelia, primo/as Johnny, Beatrice and Delia (and the primas I never met before we left for Michigan in 1963) and Anita,
our family was saddened to learn that Tio had passed; we remember him and Tia fondly. They have always been special in our family's memories. I would never feel unwelcomed at their home even after years of not seeing them; it was always like they last saw you the week before.
There is so little to add to folks' comments about their calm and loving personalities.
I remember the day I told my son that children's tv show host Mr. [Fred] Rogers died. There was a sudden and sad "ohhh" and almost immediately followed by a "oh that's good". I asked him how it could be good that Mr. Rogers died. He responded by saying "he was a good man, he did his job and did it well, he's done and it's time for him to be at a better place, to be with God". That pretty much sums up how I feel about Tio.
