Terry Dyer Obituary
Terry Gene Dyer, age 74 of Lometa died Tuesday January 25, 2012 at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen. Terry was born December 25, 1937 in Gatesville, Texas the son of Ivan Wayne (Toad) Dyer and Jessie Irene (White) Dyer. Terry served in the Air Force for 22yrs, then worked at Randolph AFB in San Antonio, TX for 23 years retiring in 2005. Terry grew up in Lometa and graduated in 1957. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lometa. He was married to Lois Odom and she preceded him in death May 10, 2007. Terry is survived by 2 Daughters; Sherrie Castillo and husband Mark of Converse, TX and Melissa Adkinson and husband James Charles II of LaVernia, TX; grandchildren; Leah Jean Carey, Dalton Cole Adkinson, and Samantha Nicole Adkinson; 2 Brothers, Gerald Dyer of Converse, TX and Ivan Earl (Skeek) Dyer of Rosenburg Terry was preceded in death by his wife, parents, son, Terry Wayne (TW) Dyer and brother, Donald (Donnie) Dyer. Funeral services with full military honors will be held Saturday January 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. Visitation will be Friday January 27, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Terry's body will be cremated following the service.

Dear Dyer Family,
Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved. There are never any right words to express how deeply sad I am for the pain your family is enduring at this difficult time.
As Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I am sincerely thankful for his valiant service in defense of our rights and freedom.
His commitment to family, friends, our community, and to serving our great nation leaves a wonderful legacy. May the love and the wonderful memories you shared with him help you when you need it most. He will never be forgotten, and your family will be remembered in my prayers.
