Margaret Stoppie Obituary

Margaret Mary Stoppie, 90, of Phoenix Park, passed away Tuesday morning at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Born in Branch Township, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lavena Cavanaugh Huth.
Margaret attended Branch Township schools and graduated from the former Llewellyn High School in 1938.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Minersville, and was a member of the former St. Vincent de Paul Church, Minersville. She was a member of the Sodality and the choir and volunteered in many church activities.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence.
Surviving are her husband, Andrew, to whom she was married 64 years; a daughter, Andrea Curran, Medford, N.J.; a son, Paul, Dallas, Pa.; five grandchildren, Mark Curran and his wife, Colleen, Phoenix Park, Matthew Curran, Plano, Texas, Andrew Curran and his wife, Jenn, Maple Shade, N.J., Stephen Stoppie and Stacy Stoppie; four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Friday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Minersville. The Rev. Adam Sedor will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until the time of service Friday. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. The family would prefer remembrances of Margaret in the form of contributions to the Minersville Library. Contributions will be accepted at the funeral home.
