Joseph Fitzgerald Obituary
Joseph Caleb Fitzgerald, age 11, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at WK South after a sudden illness. Joseph was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and raised in Stonewall, Louisiana and was a student at North Desoto Middle School.
Joseph was preceded in death by his MauMaw, Sue Harris and is survived by Grandparents, Ron and Shirley Kendrick and Jack and Thelma Fitzgerald; Mom, Kassi Fitzgerald: Dad and Step Mom, Eddie and Elizabeth Fitzgerald; Brothers Clayton and Matthew Fitzgerald; biological Mom, Terri Jones; Mimi, Missi Dugas; biological sisters Breauna and Alia Jones, and a host of loving Aunts and Uncles, both biological and adopted by heart.
We would like to thank the North Desoto School System for their love and dedication to Joseph. We especially would like to thank Mrs. Angela Farmer, Mrs. Rocket, Mrs. Tara Falls, Couch Parker and Mrs. Shawnie Leach. We would also like to thank Dr. Clifton Vaughn and Counselor Lauren Finley for their steadfast dedication to Joseph.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 4:30 PM at the First Southern Methodist Church in Stonewall, LA
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the North Desoto Middle School art or special education departments in honor of Joseph.

Today is the firsts anniversary of Joseph's death. Some days it feels like it has been an eternity since he was taken home to heaven and other days it feels like only yesterday. I miss his laughter his curiosity and creativeness and all the layers and depth he added to my life. Rest in peace my son. Forever in the arms of Christ.

hey u dont know me but i knew joseph he lived with me off and on through out his life up until he was adopted my son and him were like best buds they shared everything even hand me downs Theresa and David were very good friends of mine .But as time went on we all faded i am sooooo sorry for you and the family's loss "picture says" May the sun bring you new energy by day

Dear Family, I have no words to ease this pain in your hearts but I would like for you to know that Joseph was such a dear sweet child. I subbed in his classes often, as well as for Mathew. Both boys were Angels .i remember Joseph saying " Mrs. A, if I hurry and finish all my work, can I please play my DSI?". I would always let him and only him sneak it out. Oh the joy in his eyes . I pray for strength and grace to carry through these days ahead.

I am sorry sorry for the loss of your precious son, Joseph. My son Aaron shared classes at North Desoto Middle School with Joseph. He was also his partner in Math class. Aaron wanted me to share with you that he thought Joseph was very smart and he was proud to be his partner. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I didn't know Joseph well, but I know his Mom, Kassi, & know she is an excellent, loving Mom who attended his every need. I watched him playing outside, growing up next door. He always had a greeting & a question :) I know this time is hard for all who loved him. I will remember him and all of the family in prayer.
