Claudia Scroggins Obituary
SHREVEPORT, LA- Services for Mrs. Claudia Scroggins, 81, will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Mt. Olive MBC, Greenwood, LA. Pastor Theron Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family hour will be 6:00 to 7:00 Friday at Zion Baptist John H. Wilson Chapel 3038 Hollywood Ave.
Mrs. Scroggins departed this life on January 17, 2012.
Sister Scroggins was married to the late Phillip Scroggins a locial business owner, for 59 years before he preceded her in death. Seven children were born to this union, 3 sons preceded her in death.
Sister Scroggins was a dedicated member of the Order of the Eastern Star, was a charter member of Erma S. Lee Chapter #170 where she served as the Worthy Matron for several years. She was also recognized as a leader and successful business owner in the community and will be remembered most for her commitment to helping others.
She leaves to cherish her memories, 2 daughters, Deborah (Willie) Hawkins of Garland, Texas and Kathy Brown of Mesquite, Texas; 2 sons, Mark (Martha) Scroggins Sr., and Donald Scroggins, Sr.; 1 sister, Rubenstein" Ruby" Belcher and 1 brother, Andrew "George" (Dorothy) Coleman; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

I see you cry and I cry for you, and I see you hurt and it hurts me too. I wish there was something that I could do to take away the pain; however, there is something that I can request of you; just hold on to God's Unchanging Hand and He will definitely see you through. I knew Mrs. Scroggins basically all my life and I loved her too. She was a such a strong person. I will never forget her smile, her jokes, and her passion for life. As I think of her she lived a full life. God Bless and I Love Ya'll
