Evan Parrish Obituary
MISHAWAKA - Evan J. Parrish, 81, of Mishawaka, died Tuesday, August 24, 2010. He was born in Florence, Alabama, on August 21, 1929, to Barney and Minnie (Jackson) Parrish. On August 26, 1949, he married Sue Joiner in Iuka, Mississippi. Evan retired as a forklift operator at Dodge Manufacturing after 40 years of service to the company. He is survived by his wife of almost 61 years, Sue Parrish of Mishawaka; his son, Jerry (Brenda) Parrish of Cassopolis, Michigan; his daughter, Elaine (Charles) Brevard of South Bend; sister, Lillie Mae Kelly of Florence, Alabama; brother, Walter Parrish of Jackson, Michigan; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 26, 2010, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy., with calling one hour prior to services. Burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. I have memories in my pocket.

Dad,I never thought this day would come,but it has. God has showed me the light and been a permanent in my life for a long time. We have had our differences but you will always be in my heart.
