News Death Notice
SIGMON, Ricky L. 51, of Springfield, passed away Monday, November 14, 2011. He was born December 10, 1959 in Springfield, the son of Jack and Janie Sigmon. Mr. Sigmon was a member of the Good Samaritan Outreach Center and had been employed at Dixie Distributing. He was a lifetime avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Survivors include his loving companion; Debbie Freeman, seven children; Ricky Sigmon, Michael Sigmon, Anthony Sigmon, Penny Sigmon, Ashley Jeffers (Camilo Gonzalez), Amber (Adam) Neighbors and David McKinney all of Springfield, 24 grandchildren, siblings; Jack Sigmon, Sue Walden, Edna (Jeffrey) Lollis, Ronnie (Natasha) Sigmon, Bonnie (Tony) Daniel, Jack (Jennifer) Sigmon II and Lester (Brittany) Sigmon and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in dearth by two sisters; Margaret Jane Colvin and Joyce Durst and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 4:00PM Thursday in the Good Samaritan Outreach Center, 408 West Washington with Pastor Marvin Phillips officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.

Family,
Rick and I grew up together, just a couple of kids in the neighborhood who loved to play basketball and football. I will never forget our games on KP Hill and St. Mary's,those games were so competitive even though my team won most of them, Rick was still a good athlete, who had one heck of a hook shot with those long skinny arms.
May God grant you eternal rest my friend now and forever.

Even though I didn't know u that well. I enjoyed spending time with u here in south carolina I am glad u got to see the ocean. I will always be in great debt to u for taking such good care of my mom (debbie freenman )You will be missed we love you

I am going to miss you so much Uncle Rick!!! We had so many great times together...Some very special memories, some I have shared with others whick have brought tears of laughter to thier eyes. I will always treasure the memories and hold them close to my heart!! I love you...your niece Kim

Although I never had the pleaseure to meet Rick and Debbie in person they both were very close to my heart. Rick will be missed by all that had the pleasure to know him. His kindness and laughter will be missed the most. He was a dear friend to my cousin and therefore I had the opporunity to know of him. GODSPEED to you Rick.....peace be with you.
