Oscar C. Christianson, 87, of Toms River passed away on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born on Sept. 25, 1923, in Jersey City to Olaf and Sigrid Christianson, Mr. Christianson lived in Jersey City before moving to Toms River 15 years ago. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in World War II. He was a sheet metal worker for 41 years and a member of the Local 25 in North Jersey for 63 years, and an avid fisherman. Mr. Christianson was predeceased by his sister, Lillian, and his two brothers, Sydney and Harold. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Anne Christianson of Toms River; his beloved son, Charles E. Christianson and his wife, Maureen, of Wall; his loving daughter, Jo Ann C. Mastrogiovanni and her husband, James, of Secaucus; his four beloved grandchildren, Katrina, Erik, Jaime and Cheryl, and his three loving great-grandchildren, Bryce, Cheyne and Gannon. He is also survived by his beloved brother, Frank Christianson and his wife, Gloria, of Brick, and his loving sister-in-law, Margaret Christianson of Manchester.
