Kimberly A. (Zaino) DeOliveira, 53, of East Hanover, N.J., passed away in a sudden accident on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013. A Memorial Mass will be offered at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church, 75 Ridgedale Ave., Cedar Knolls, N.J., on Monday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m. The family will receive their friends at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 145 E. Mount Pleasant Ave., Livingston, N.J., 07039, on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, from 2 to 6 p.m. Born in Georgia, Kimberly spent her younger years in Haledon, N.J., and grew up in Livingston, N.J., with her parents and sister. She then moved to Maplewood, N.J., with her husband, Fernando, before settling down to raise her family in East Hanover 22 years ago; they remained there to this day. Kimberly was an active member of the community, participating in the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) program and teaching ESL during her spare time. She was also an active member of local community theater. That was her true passion and she was happiest when performing on the stage. Her most recent role was the Wicked Witch from the Wizard of Oz, following countless others over the years. Kimberly worked in the surety bonding business for over 20 years. Recently, she was working with her father at his company, Hanover Car and Limo, in Florham Park, N.J. She attended Point Park College in Pennsylvania. Surviving are her devoted husband of 28 years, Fernando DeOliveira; loving parents, Janet and Anthony Zaino; beloved sister, Lisa Laganella and her husband, Anthony Laganella, and their daughter, Gina Laganella; her loving children, Mark DeOliveira and Jessica DeOliveira and her son-in-law, Patrick Canavan, along with their children, her grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, and Ryan. She was so very cherished and will be missed immeasurably. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to CHADD Foundation for children and adults with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (www.chadd.org).
