Hi Sons of Barbara, I enjoyed knowing your mom and dad when I was involved in folk dancing in Austin between 1990-1996. I noted they were especially kind to some Chinese students and gave them rides to different events. Your mom sent me a bunch of humorous notes the last 4 years before she was hospitalized for surgery.

In the year 1976, Barbara and I went to the UT physics lab monthly to view demonstrations of the laws of Classical Mechanics and electromagnetic fields. Barbara was interested in the philosophy of physics.

Daniel, Joey, and Kirk,
We extend our sympathy on the passing of your mother. We were neighbors back in the '60s and '70s and considered your family good neighbors and friends. We will miss the annual Christmas letter that kept us abreast of events in your mother's life. She had a full life and it is evident how she loved her family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Strey family, both of us thought a lot of Barbara, we saw her quite often at the monthly former VA employees GET-TOGETHER. Most of the time she had taken the bus to the meeting. We remember her with a smile. Maynard and Winnie Spitz

I worked with Barbara at the VA and had happened to see her recently while visiting a friend at Health South. Barbara had a wonderful friendly spirit and was always so enthusiastic about her folk-dancing. She would come to retirement brunches even taking the bus. I will remember her with respect and affection.

Barbara was a kind and loyal friend. She was dedicated to her folk dancing and those friends. We all enjoyed her accounts of her many travels all over the world. She was a devoted mother to her sons. In her last illess, she was brave. She will be mised. Sincerely, Claire Dodillet Bizzell
