Pamela Turrentine Stites Pamela Turrentine Stites, 59, a 25 year resident of Austin, past away suddenly on Saturday the 11th of December 2010. Pamela was born to Charles and Babara Turrentine on the 20th of July, 1951 in Dallas and grew up in Irving, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree from the Texas State University and earned her master's degree in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington. She began her professional career known as "Peppermint Pam" from Portaline Power Tools. Pamela was an entrepreneur, who owned and operated a personnel agency. She began a career in social work for the State of Texas as a caseworker in child protective services. Pam served as a parole officer, and spent her last years as a death row mitigator for various legal firms. Pamela never met a stranger and could make friends instantly. She was someone who was remembered by all she met, due to her bubbly and upbeat personality. Pamela was a loving wife, devoted mother, and proud grandmother. "The sun didn't rise until she came into the room," said her husband Patrick. Pamela will be remembered by her husband, Patrick Stites and son, Charles Stites both of Austin; daughter, Kolbi Stites of Kyle; grandchildren, Chloe Dyer, Kade McCarstle, Carden McCarstle of Kyle; sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and David Ostroth of Raynham, MA; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Dianne Turrentine of Allen; brother Franklin Turrentine of Dallas; several nieces and nephews, as well as former son-in-law Eric McCarstle of Kyle.
