Nancy Young Obituary

Young, Nancy Miller Tues., July 26, 2011. Nancy was the wife of the late Logan Clover Young and mother to Christopher Miller Young (Jane Wilkinson Young), Edward Scott Young and Linda Young Mueller (Donald G. Mueller). She was a loving Nana to Jeffrey Young, Kathryn Young Kunkel (Adam Kunkel), Rebecca Young, Kristin Mueller Croce (Michael Croce), Carolyn Mueller and Nancy Mueller and great-grandmother to Abigail and Logan Kunkel. Nancy grew up in St. Louis and attended Kirkwood High School and then William Woods College. In 1949 she married the love of her life, Logan and together they began a family, raised in love and sweet memories. Nancy was an artist who saw all of the beauty in her world. She loved her horses and dogs, the desert and bird watching, a quiet night or a country porch, or a rousing party with all of her friends. The light in the room, Nancy made life a celebration- always there with a cocktail and a round (or six) of Jon Jonson. She loved her children and grandchildren and spent her years tying together a family with priceless memories. We will remember Nancy for her sense of humor and her spark, but mostly for the love she gave everyone around her. She is together again with Logan, most certainly enjoying an endless happy hour in paradise. Services: at the ORTMANN-STIPANOVICH Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Thurs., July28, 11 a.m. Donations to Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, Washington University, Suite 2555, 7425 Forsythe Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63105 appreciated. Visitation from 10-11 a.m. Thursday.

Nancy always had that bubbly smile and said how things are in my life. I loved knowing her and her family. We were so blessed to have her in part of our life. She was a great neighbor and gave us the opportunity to have such great neighbors again with her children living near us. Thanks for raising great people, Nancy!! Your neighbor/friend, Larry & Victoria Wibbenmeyer

The thing I will remember most about Nancy was the way she took charge of a party. Her infecious smile and laughter.
It was a pleasure to know you Nancy. Thank you for the gift of allowing me to get to know your children. They sure are fun to be with.
May God Bless You and Keep You Always.
You are the BEST!!!!
