Pavol Demitra Memoriam

Pavol Demitra, who played for the St. Louis Blues from 1996-2004, was killed Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, when the plane carrying his Russian hockey team crashed on takeoff.
Demitra, 36, totaled 204 goals with the Blues and 493 points in 494 games.

Turgeon, Pronger, Mellanby, Nash, MacInnis, Conroy, Courtnal, Tkachuk, Drake, Jackman, Hull (to an extent)...... Demitra. All those guys are guys I think about when I think of the Blues of that era, but none of them represented the embodiment of the St. Louis Blues like Pavol Demitra! To Pavol's wife and kids,
About 10 or 11 years ago I used to work at Wolf Camera in Chesterfield mall and I remember one day when you all came in to drop off your film to get your pictures developed and when you came back in to pick up your pictures I was more than excited to see Pavol his wife and if I remember right....his son. I will never forget the night Pavol and I spent playing foosball at Helen Fitzgerald's in St. Louis, MO at a Blues Charity Alumni event. I have never laughed so hard in my life!!!
