This is crazy man. Seems like just yesterday we were back in kindergarten causing trouble. Spending pretty much every day for the last 15 years together whether it was at my house or yours was always great fun. Your family was pretty much my second family. We were like two peas in a pod, you never got one of us without the other. I dont know what im going to do without you brother. I was always there for you and you were always there for me, even if we were in the wrong. We always had eachothers back. Lets keep it that way. Watch over us and keep us safe. I miss you like crazy and love you so much man. The best friend I could ask for. No one will ever replace you. Rest in Peace

Dear Dan, Heather & Families
I am so totally grief stricken by your loss. It seems like yesterday Dan, when you were here engaging in some of the greatest moments in UMSL's storied Baseball history. After your iconic All-American years '94-97, I saw you step-up & become the epitome of what every Father strives to be. You became the 'perfect' baseball Dad, conspicuously & constantly the 'rock' alongside your son, Clay. An old-school type Coach(Dad) meticulously analyzing, retooling, drilling all of the needed repetitions needed to excel in the game that forever creates that special bond between Father & Son. That love & attention to detail was only overshadowed by the unwavering support & encouragement that Clay needed & received from both you & Heather. It rendered him the drive & perseverance to overcome all of the obstacles placed in front of him.
Clay will always be a testament to what a Mother & Father's unconditional love is capable of doing. His short life was personified by a high degree of humility matched by an unyielding love for others. All of this was underscored by a will & determination to conquer any & all odds.
Clayton Pfeiffer was the 'perfect' model of what we want our sons to aspire to be. A true 'WINNER' in every sense of the word. His ability to reach out & touch all of his Vianney Brothers, his Mo.Bap teammates, his RedLegs & St.Mark friends is a forever glowing tribute & the 'perfect' reflection on both of you. May that reflection evolve into Clay's eternal Light providing hope & strengthening your resolve, as you attempt to move forward. May your Faith allow Clay's everlasting presence to be with you each & every day. My thoughts & prayers will always include both of you.

A Son to you was given.
A Son to train for heaven.
A tender heart to daily lead.
To serve his God by word and deed.
Two hands two feet that you did guide with patience meet.
This Son learned from you how to distinguish false from true.
His budding mind looked to see, in you, faith, hope and charity.
You did not fear your holy task.
Strong aide was yours when you asked.
You humbly trusted in Him who gave to you this shining soul to save.
