Z-Man, here we are. And the flat fact is, those of us left behind are worse off for your absence. I wish I was a better brother to you than I was. I hope when you think back you remember me with some fond feelings. I hope you can feel something at all. Even if I am given no after-all at all I hope you are. I hope you find something in the great here-after. you deserve better than this world gave you brother. Keep on rockin' Zack. And forgive the wretched living still trapped in this world.
I miss you.
24 and there's so much more. Live alone in a paradise that makes me think of two. Love lost, such a cost, give me things that don't get lost.

Zack, my best friend, my lifelong buddy. I still cannot believe you are not here anymore, but I figured that it is about time I wrote about you in this guestbook. I can still remember fondly how we used to play football in the winter in the grass lot behind my house in Berwyn and how we used to always play with our wrestling action figures when we were younger. Then when we got older, we partied like animals. I will never forget walking down the stairs of your parents house the one morning after we partied all night and your dad saying he couldn't believe we were awake before noon. All the fun times we had at World and Golds Gym training together. I remember when I told you I want to be a professional bodybuilder and you gave me such support and helped me with ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING I needed. We were always so the perfect friend match, two easy going guys who just loved to rock out and have a good time. Whenever I was down, you were always there to say something that could make me laugh and make me feel better and you were often the only one who could. I can never repay you for showing me what real music was. I wish we still had more time together because now that you are not here I just don't know what I am going to do without you. Unfortunately, I cannot change what happened and you were taken from me as well as many others way too soon. Just know, my greatest friend, that when people talk about you, they speak of you only warmly, with love and affection. You will be truly missed my friend.

"My deepest condolences to all the family and his girlfriend. I am a young mother of 2 and met Zach at World Gym and then continue to see him at Gold's; he was always so kind, humble and had this beautiful smile- He reminded me everyday of my oldest son who has similar personality and just filled my heart with such joy... I never knew his name , he was always the "Sweetheart' for me and just last night for the first time that i asked for him and his name they told me about his passing. Could not workout and went home to tell my husband who shares the same thoughts and we have you in our prayers.

My prayers are with the family and friends of Zach. My heart reaches out to you! I cant even being to express what a kind and friendly person Zach was. I have had the pleasure to meet Zach at school which we sat next to each other in class. I have only known Zach for a short time but long enough to know what a nice person he was. I am very lucky and glad to have met Zach. It will sadden me everyday that he wont be there. He will be missed dearly.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Reeves, Ben and Sue, Ethan, Mrs. Kathryn Reeves, Anna Lopez and members of the family:
I was shocked and saddened to learn of the death of your dear son, brother, grandson, and boy friend, Zachary Reeves. At times such as these, words are unable to carry the full message of comfort and consolation which we want them to bear, but they are all we have. Having experienced the death of my father in 1995, I am aware of the deep emotions which accompany such a loss. Be sure of continued remembrance of him in my prayers and those of all the Brothers here at Lewis.
May the Lord continue to hold you as well as all your family and friends in the hollow of his hand and may you find his comforting presence in the silent power of prayer, in the wisdom of the Scripture, the nourishment of the Eucharist, the beauty of the liturgy, and in all his holy people gathered round you to help us.
I join my voice to the ancient hymn of the early Church:
May the angels lead him into Paradise.
May the martyrs come and welcome him on his way
And lead him into the holy city, Jerusalem.
May the choirs of angels welcome him.
And with Lazarus, who once was poor,
May he have everlasting life. Amen.
I close with the traditional prayer which we Brothers have prayed for over three hundred years:
Live Jesus in our hearts--Forever.
With sympathy and promise of prayers,
Your Brother,
Debi Sakalas

To Zach's family and friends, I am sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is always difficult, but it's the most difficult when they die before their time.
The last time I saw Zach was a few years ago at JJC. I talked to him on the bridge. He was wearing his Allman Brothers t-shirt. He had good taste in music! I knew him, because we had study-hall together in high school. I remember quoting Simpsons lines w/ him after lunch, and laughing about how ridiculous some of the kids at school were. He was a nice and easy-going guy.
I'll remember him as a nice dude w/ a good sense of humor. I'm sure he's changed since high school, but I'll bet those traits remained. The memories never fade.

I had the pleasure of being Zack's boss at the Gym. He was a wonderful young man. He never hesitated to volunteer when I needed anything. He had a great personality. Everyone who knew him loved him. I will miss his sweet smile & mild manner. We all loved him & he will be missed by many. His parents should be very proud of the young man they raised. Please know that he is in a better place now & that he is a million times happier now than his greatest moment here on earth...I truly believe this. Some day all of his loved ones will be reunited with him again. Until then cherish his memories to help give you comfort. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Zach. I worked with Zach at World Gym and everyone from the fellow employees to the members loved him. He greeted everyone that walked in the door with that awesome smile. I will truly miss him. And will always remember him asking me if i had time to give him some advice. And I always had time for Zach. He worked alot at the gym with my daughter Kaylee, and they had a special friendship, they shared their love of music especially Bob Dillon and The Beatles. We will miss Zach so much.

I am profoundly saddened to hear of Zack's death. He was one of my best students last semester at Lewis in my Search for Faith course. He was very bright, witty, and lively in class and in his writing. He was naturally curious, and was never afraid to ask questions. His smile lit up the classroom and he was a leader that his classmates admired. I saw kindness, respect, and generosity in the way he interacted with others. He was a wonderful young man who will be deeply missed. My sincere condolences to Zack's family and friends. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I would like to express the sadness in my heart at the loss of such a young and special person as Zack. He always insisted on calling me Mrs. Nicinski, even when he was grown up. I’d say “ You can call me Laura now.” Then he’d say, “No, I just can’t do that. It doesn’t seem right.” Always respectful, it’s the way he was raised. I’ve known Zack since he was a little boy in Berwyn. He was my son Erik’s best friend. I was happy that my son found a boy to be friends with that was so much like him. Sadly, I thought that their friendship would fade away when Zack’s family moved to Joliet, but quite the opposite occurred. They kept in touch. My family moved to the Joliet area after Erik graduated high school. It was wonderful for my son to already have a friend nearby. As they grew from boyhood to becoming young men, their friendship grew. Erik said they were “Best friends for life.” I want to thank Zack for being my sons’ best friend. I know that Erik will miss him terribly, as will all the other people whose lives he touched. I hope that the good things shared with Zack will help and comfort broken hearts.

I speak for most of Zachs friends in saying that, Zach was such a loving caring friend, his smile never failed to warm hearts, I remember freshman year Zach would always were that damn Peyton Manning jersey, and I would were my raiders Charles Woodson and chase him around. My heart hurts knowing that, that smile is somthing I'm going to have to remember..........And if those Colts win the Super Bowl you know who's behind it!
