James Frederick Paul

James Frederick Paul September 4, 2011 James Frederick Paul, 69, of Manlius, died Sunday at Francis House. He retired from Crucible Steel, where he was an accomplished blacksmith. James was an active member of the Manlius United Methodist Church and its men's club. He was instrumental in raising funds for the children to attend summer church camp through the chicken barbecues at Manlius United Methodist. An avid outdoorsman and horseman, he directed these talents through the 4-H Light Horse Division. He was predeceased by his wife, Linda. Surviving are his children, Patricia and Sharon, both of Manlius, and Sarah of Staten Island; his brother, George of Caughdenoy; and his sister, Nancy Robertson of DeWitt. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Manlius United Methodist Church, 111 Wesley Street, Manlius. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Manlius Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Manlius United Methodist Church or to Francis House. Tait Funeral Home, Inc.
