Joseph Masuicca Obituary

Joseph Masuicca November 9, 2011 Joseph Masuicca, 80, of Oswego, died Wednesday at St. Luke Health Services after a short illness. He was born in Oswego to the late Nazarno and Nancy (Ricci) Masuicca. He had remained a lifetime resident of Oswego. Mr. Masuicca was a United States veteran having served in the Navy from 1952 to 1954. He retired after 41 years with National Grid as a chief gas mechanic. Mr. Masuicca was a life member of the Oswego BPO Elks, a member of the LST Association, and past president of the Oswego Utility Employee Association. He enjoyed golfing, gardening and bowling. Mr. Masuicca was pre-deceased by his wife, Cosimina Masuicca in April 2011. He was also pre-deceased by his siblings: Francis, Thomas, and John Masuicca, Anna Talamo, and Angeline Rupert. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 8:30 a.m. Monday in the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Oswego where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Greg Kreinheder. Entombment will be held in All Saint's Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery, Oswego. Calling hours will be conducted 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th St., Oswego.
