Pauline Hall Obituary

November 28, 2012

Pauline "Aggie" (Mahan) Hall of Clay, passed away at Upstate University Hospital with her loving family at her side on November 28, 2012. She was 82. She was a graduate of Marcellus High School. She was the driving force behind our family farm, Hallston Manor, a nationally recognized American Saddlebred breeding operation. She and her daughters owned the record-breaking Supreme Heir, who was the number one stallion in the country for several years. She was actively involved with the American Saddlebred Association of New York for many years, and was an integral part of the Syracuse International Horse Show. Aggie was incredibly proud of her Irish heritage. She always had a smile on her face, had a true passion for life, and no one was ever a stranger to her. Her favorite places were our farm, our camp on Henderson Harbor and St. Martin.

She was predeceased by her husband of 26 years, Lawrence E. Hall (a local developer and founder of Continental Securities Corp.), in 1983; two sisters, Helen (Jack) Harrison and Mary (Mugsy) McGraw; and two brothers, Edward and James Mahan.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary (Greg) Hall-Fisk and Karen Hall, both of Clay; two very beloved grandchildren, Delaney Fisk and Lillianna Hall; brother, Joseph Duke Mahan; sisters-in-law, Ruth Mahan, Velma Mahan, June Schilling, Jane Doss, Dorothy (Marty) Grezejka; brother-in-law, David Hall; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday in St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus. Burial will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Calling hours will be 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 East Main St., Marcellus.

Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis, 10866 W. Washington Blvd., #343, Culver City, CA 90232.

Mary & Karen, although I haven't seen you in many years, I have to tell you I am sad to hear of your mom's passing. I always remembered how sweet she was to me when I came to your house to pick up or drop off Don. She made you feel right at home, even when my youngest would get on the piano & start to play, I would panic & she would just laugh. Always so nice.I know she will be greatly missed. Linda Smart
