Bill Hebrock Obituary

Bill J. Hebrock, 55 of Tallahassee, Fl. passed away January 4, 2011, after a brief illness. Bill was born in Cambridge, Ohio in 1955 to the late Chuck and Mary Hebrock. He attended school in Cambridge, and attended Ohio State University. He graduated in 1977 from OSU (Go Bucks!) with a degree in Political Finance. He started his political career while in college working for Senator Sam Speck. This sparked his love for politics, which continued until the day he died. After moving to Florida in 1982, he opened his own firm and became involved in Florida politics raising money for many Republican candidates including Republican Presidential candidates as well as Gubernatorial candidates. He and his family moved to Tallahassee in 1986. While living in Tallahassee he served the community by sitting on multiple boards including Boys and Girls Club, TCC and Innovation Park. He was a member of Lafayette Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder. Bill is survived by his wife Anne of 30 years, his precious daughter Hayley Jo and his three beloved companions Patches, Nickel and Oliver. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Lafayette Presbyterian Church 4220 Mahan Drive. In lieu of flowers a college fund account has been established at Premier Bank, P.O. Box 3606, Tallahassee, Fl. 32315 in the name of Hayley Jo Hebrock.

I first met Bill when he was involved in missing children's issues following the kidnapping and murder of Adam Walsh in 1981. He was a passionate advocate for the welfare of children and highly regarded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Washington, DC. In 1999 he asked me to be a Partner in his firm after I completed my service as an elected County Supervisor in Orange County, California. He was one of the most intelligent persons I have ever known. Together we represented numeous clients and he helped establish ties between Tallahassee Community College and Tianjin, China. Most importantly he had a warm heart for others and has left a legacy for many worthy charities. Anne and Hayley I am sending you my love and prayers from California.

Mrs. Hebrock and Hayley Jo, Bill was such a marvelous advocate for blind people throughout Florida. I thought so highly of him and was honored to work with Bill on certain matters pertaining to blind people.
He will be truly missed! My heart goes out to you and the rest of Bill's family and friends as you try to come to terms with this tragic loss. I pray that you will draw strength from the comfort that is there for you from our Lord and Savior who promisses never to leave us or forsake us. I am at a loss for words as I have just discovered this news within the last minute. Truly some of my fondest memories of our time in Tallahassee are of Bill and Anne. The last time I saw you was for Hayley's 2nd birthday party I think. All those years doesn't mean you have not been in my thoughts or prayers and you will certainly continue to be now. My deepest condolences.

Anne and Hayley, we are deeply heartbroken with your loss. Bill was always so welcoming and always took time to make me feel like we had always been friends. He even took our little itchy dog in as one of his own when we were in need.

Please know you both will be in our thoughts and prayers in the days to come and please call on us should you need anything, we're close by.
