My thoughts still go out to all of Ryan's family and friends. I will be honest, I did not know Ryan well as I only had the privilege of sitting beside of Ryan in one of my classes at The University of Tampa. I attended UT in the evenings after work, so I didn't have time to make a lot of friends while attending, but it was always so nice to sit beside of Ryan during our class together. He was always friendly, had a smile on his face, and a pleasure to chat with as we sat through that late evening class. May his honor live on through all his loved ones and they take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Ryan was a great guy and I can remember being on the football field with him, which feels like not too long ago. Playing football together when we were so young you could tell that he loved life and just enjoyed being around people. I am so sorry to hear about this loss, my prayers and thoughts go out to Mr. and Mrs. Mccall and ryans brothers and sisters.

I will think about him always and remember him everytime i go through his neighborhood or through Broad Run Park. My prayers go out to you.

Welcome him now into paradise where there will be no more sorrow, no more weeping or pain, but only peace and joy with Jesus your Son, and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.
May God hold Ryan in the palm of His hand. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My deepest sympathies.

Dear Kevin, Joanne, Kevin Jr and Kimberly:
We have always considered the McCalls as part of our own family growing up together on Christopher Court; so when we heard the tragic news, we felt that a member of our own family had been lost.
Our fondest memories of Ryan are his willingness to always take care of our pets when we went out of town. He always had a smile on his face and even though we knew that he was busy, he always stopped and spent time talking with us when he was out on his daily runs!
Words cannot express our feelings at this point in time for you and your family. Please be assured we will keep all of you in our prayers.
Ryan was a special person and the world is now a much smaller place without him.
As you go through the next very difficult weeks, months and years, please let us know if we can do anything at all to ease your burden. We will always be there for you.

McCall family,
I am sorry for your loss. Ryan was a wonderful and sweet person. I remember that huge smile of his face every day that just made you want to smile too. I would wonder why he’d be smiling at track practice or meets, but I understand now. He loved coaching and running just as much as we do. He was more than just my coach. He was my friend. Ryan believed and cheered for me at our meets. He made it fun and made you want to keep running. When I beat my personal record he would congratulate me and encourage me to break it again. He was the best coach ever and I will work hard this year to go to States for Track & Field because he believed that I could. I hope to make him proud. He is looking down on us from a better place. Miss you. R.I.P. Ryan

Kim is one of the sweetest people I've ever met, and it sounds like it runs in the family. Mr. and Mrs. McCall-
I am so sorry about your loss. I met Ryan when my son and I came to Tampa for the World Series last season. We stayed with my good friend and Ryan's coach, Dror. It was game one, we went to a sports bar and I met your son. We chatted briefly about our Phillies and how he was from Downingtown. Dror called me last week to tell me what happened. I cannot imagine the pain you are feeling, but know that you raised a fine young man who will forever be your angel. I'm so sorry.

Kevin & Joanne,
Two years ago we became neighbors and shortly after that we became friends.
After all that time sharing a wall, we feel we share something much greater now, a family. We have come to cherish your incredible family, Kimberly, Kevin, and of course the incomparable Ryan. We are blessed to have known him and are forever touched by his kindness and spirit. Please know that we are here for you, even when you are away.
Ryan,
After some time alone, I started to think about all the chats we had about sports, music, and your plans for the future, like grad school. I have come to realize that I lost not only a neighbor for the summers, but a friend as well. I will miss you. I will miss your radiant smile. I will miss your kind and soft-spoken nature. I will miss you shaking your head every time your old man did something goofy or embarrassing (like the Jimmy-Ricky dance). I will miss the first-rate commentary on Philly's finest sports franchises (I still can't believe they gave up Dawkins and Burrell in the same year). I will miss so many things, but most of all I will miss the site of you by the pool with black socks up to you knees and sandles. You definitely had your own style.
Love and blessings,

I found out about this horrible tragedy through a 'facebook' friend. I am so heartbroken for Ryan's family. While I do not know the family, and I did not know Ryan, I know the raw pain they are going through. My heart...my prayers...are with the family. I met Ryan my sophomore year in Human Anatomy. We hit it off the first time we met. All of a sudden we started to have same classes such as Gen Chem and New Testament. We would study together and do the most impossible hw. Our friendship grew over the next couple of months, driving to Dons, getting hockey autographs, making movies, playing guitar, and1 mixtape, and most of all playing basketball. He was a very good friend and we have shared so many memorable memories. Ryan McCall has influence not only me but many others. He will never be forgotten! Peace My Brotha.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. McCall, Kim and Kevin, It's been ages since our families have been together, but we are united with you in prayer and spirit. How could I ever forget the smiling, happy, bouncy little boy that would play at our house with Danny when you'd all come for dinner on so many occasions? Although I didn't know him as much more than a very sweet little boy, he could not be forgotten as a part of my very happy childhood. My husband and I have taken each of you individually to prayer, and will continue to do so. In all things, remember that it is in the most difficult moments when Our Heavenly Father walks the closest to us, and that in His Mercy He never lets us go.

Dearest Neighbors,
Leanne & I have sat and cried wondering in puzzlement "WHY" and there is no good answer.A young man that we have known for almost 2 years who has had such an impact not only on our lives but everyone who met him, taken from this earthly world and now sits at the right hand of the Lord. My wife calls it "Ryans'Story".We heard him speaking out on Wednesday night after the tradegy with bolts of lightning and a down pour of tears(the rain)as he continued to run his cross country race with everything he had.Ryan is not a quitter and this was taught by his loving family who has become a part of us.Joanne & Kevin have raised their son with love and dedication and should be very proud of such a fine young man. He new that winning or losing was not an issue but how you played the game was what mattered. His spirit and competitiveness for the things he loved brought him closer and closer to every goal he had. We love Ryan like our owe(will change his love for Philly Flyers to Toronto Maple Leafs when I get there)and Joanne,Kevin,Kevin Jr. & Kimberly we are there for you in every need of your life. Ryan we love and miss you, but will continue on what you would want us to do, will check with you everyday.
Your loving neighbors,

Dear McCall Family,
Your son was a wonderful person! I'm a parent of Claire who is on the Tampa Prep Track and Cross Country team. Claire looked up to Ryan with tremendous respect... and she had a lot of fun with him. I believe she and some of her friends called him Mr. Clean. At the Track Awards Ceremony last spring, I remember what great words he had to say about each of the kids on the team. He showed up in a nice suit for the banquet and it showed the kids that he took great pride in them and that he took his volunteer coaching job VERY SERIOUSLY. Please know that we've been praying for your family and hope that eventually you'll be able to feel God's unending love. You raised a fine young man who will be greatly missed by the Tampa Prep community.

To the McCall Family,
My deepest sympathy goes out to you. I've worked with Kim for about 5 years and I know first hand how close your family is. I can't say I knew Ryan well, but I did share a day with him at the Phillies parade last year and I must say that he was a joy to be with. Whenever I reflect on that day I will always think about him and his contagious smile and how he enjoyed the parade. I pray that God will give you the strength that you need during this most difficult time.

ryan, please shine your light down on your family and loved ones, give them strength. im still sitting here in disbelief from all of this.
everyone keeps asking questions, why? why this? why that? why??? if we had all the answers to life's questions, what would we need god for? death is a certain part of life. it comes unexpectedly and is never easy. its not supposed to be. instead of questioning "was it ryan's time?", and trying to figure it out, i personally pray that i can positively affect half of the amount of people in my lifetime, that Ryan has in his 21 years...
you were 'it', man. if you only knew how many stories have been told about you, how many people who wanted to know you, how many tears have been cried for you....... rest easy, brotha.

Dear McCall Family,
I met Ryan during first period of my first year back at Downingtown West teaching English. He and his buddy Kevin Grove brightened my day each morning of their junior year. What I remember most about Ryan is his optimistic nature, his bigger than life smile, and his persistence. I remember him coming in one day extremely proud of himself for having read Of Mice and Men a second time just so he would do better on the test. My guess is that many of his classmates hadn’t even bothered to read it once. I also remember Ryan dressed up as a gangster for our 1920s Great Gatsby party and not quite pulling off the tough guy look because of his baby face and big smile! I not only remember but display the t-shirt every fall that Ryan and Kevin designed for a Vietnam War moratorium project. I am struck now by the irony of that drawing - a young soldier with his arms spread wide and obvious anguish on his face with a one word caption: “Why?” This fall as I have for the past five, I will display the t-shirt for the incoming juniors and will make sure I tell them about its designers. Your son and brother will not be forgotten in room 211 at Downingtown West.

To all of Ryan's family and friends,
I pray for you as your hearts are aching that you can all soon experience a peace beyond human understanding and that you experience Ryan as a new guardian angel in your lives. He was loved by everyone because he loved everyone. He was always one of my favorites . What a wonderful person he was. My prayers are with you all.

I have not had the wonderful opportunity to meet your whole family. I have met Kevin, Stephanie is my neice, and he is a wonderful young man. I can not imagine the pain and sorrow you are going through. I want you to know that your family is in the thoughts and prayers of the Roberts family everyday.
