ELVIRA RAMIREZ Obituary
Weslaco- Elvira V. Ramirez, 66, passed away December 19, 2010 at her residence in Weslaco. She was born February 2, 1944 in Weslaco to Luis and Dolores Sandoval Vargas.
She was preceded in death by her father, Luis Vargas Sr., her husband, Luis Ramirez Sr. and her son, Luis Ramirez Jr.
Elvira was a loving, caring wife, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her beloved, Rod Hinojosa; her children, Elisa Sosa and Rupert Sosa; and her mother, Dolores Vargas. Also surviving are her sisters, Ofelia Kimberly, Tencha Flores, Amelia Vargas, Juanita Balli and Isabel Mercado; and grandchildren, Julissa Maria Villegas and Johnny Villegas.
A rosary was recited Monday, December 20, 2010 at 7 pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jose Lares, Mr. Rolando Longoria, Dr. Pedro McDougal and staff, Rosie Rodriguez, Vicki Garza, IPH Home Health and IPH Hospice, Palm Valley Home Health and Chaplain Cazares.
No funeral services will be held at this time.
Arrangements are under the direction of McCaleb Funeral Home of Weslaco.
