Blanch BRIDGER Obituary

BRIDGER, Blanch Doris Ayscue, 88, died Sunday, January 29, 2012. The daughter of the late Frank Parker and Lottie Bowles Ayscue, she was predeceased by her husband Frederick Willard Bridger Sr.; and daughter, Marsha Ann Bridger; two brothers, Lewis and Floyd Ayscue; sister-in-law, Mildred Ayscue; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and John Hawkins. She is survived by her children, Frederick W. Bridger and wife, Gayla, Robert W. Bridger and wife, Deborah, Laurie Dodson and husband, David; grandchildren, Casey and Kelly Bridger, Rebecca and Justin Patchett, Rachel and Renae Dodson, Jarrod and Lara Bridger; four great-granddaughters and a number of nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong and active member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery. Flowers are welcome, or contributions may also be made to the Woodlawn Baptist Church Building Fund, 3120 Woodlawn Avenue, Colonial Heights, Va. 23834, or a charity of your choice.
