John, Jackie, Jay, Michael and all the family - I am still in shock as I'm sure you all are. Joan was a wonderful woman, so happy and full of life. It was always a joy to talk to her when we ran into each other during our normal, daily lives.
We became friends many years ago when six young women went on a vacation trip to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. We had the time of our lives, and Joan and I have remained friends ever since.
I will miss seeing her smiling face at church. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers, now and in the difficult days and months ahead.

We were so very sad to hear about Joan Marie's passing. My family and I thought the world of her. She went to school with my Mom and was also her friend. I was lucky enough to have her as my hair client and she always brightened my day when she came for her hair appointment. Joan had a beautiful and compassionate heart and cried many times with me after my Mom passed away, she also had such a great since of humor and could take our families teasing her like a champ.... My Dad and I will truly miss her and hope that you will find peace during this difficult journey of living without her. All our love.
