COMTE Robert F., Sr. Robert Comte, Sr., age 85, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence, the Waterford at Levis Commons. He was born in Toledo, Ohio, on March 8, 1925, to William H., Sr. and Anna Rose Comte. He was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School where he was a member of the boys basketball team that went on to the state finals. After high school he served almost 2 years in the Navy. He came back and graduated in Business from the University of Toledo. He started his career as an accountant with the Libbey Estates. He had a passion for the stock market which led him to join Prescott, a local brokerage firm, where he was a stock broker. After his father died in 1967 he joined the family business, Comte Construction Company. He became Vice President and was the office manager until his retirement in February 2009. He met the love of his life, Margaret Sweeney, at Centennial Terrace and decided that "she is the girl I am going to marry". They married on November 25, 1948. They celebrated 61 years of marriage together and raised 5 wonderful children. Bob thoroughly enjoyed family events, playing golf, traveling around, going to Loma Linda's, telling silly jokes (May the horse rest in peace!) and was interested in statistics wherever he went such as population, seating capacity, etc. Bob and Marge were members of Heatherdowns Country Club, Brandywine Country Club, Elks of Maumee and St. Patrick's of Heatherdowns Church where they cherished good times with their many friends. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marge; their son, Jack Comte; his parents and siblings. Surviving are his daughters, Carol (Larry) Keller, Mary Lynn (Bob) Hope and Barbara (Mike) Gail and son, Robert (Linda) Comte, Jr. Along with 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Sunday, January 9th, from 2-8 p.m. where a Scripture Service will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 10th, beginning at 9:30 a.m., in the mortuary, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick's of Heatherdowns Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
