My condolences and prayers to Randy's family. I enjoyed many good times with Randy during and after drill periods just talking and telling sea stories. I will miss him, but will have our memories forever.

I had the pleasure of serving with Randall in NMCB 5. He was a pleasure to be around and always brought fun to the office. He was a True Seabee. A skilled craftsman and a good man. My heart goes out to his family who will feel his passing the most, just remember that he will always be watching over you all.

It was a pleasure to work with Randy at Equity. He seemed to have the ability to make anyone smile at any given time. I guess that now he is making those in Heaven smile and laugh, even though those of us still on earth are deeply saddened. My thought and prayers are with his family.

Marie and I share your grief at this very difficult time. We offer our prayers that only the good times remain in your hearts, as they do in ours. We write this with a heavy heart knowing your pain in loosing someone so dear. Randy worked with me at NMCB 18 RSS where he retired. He did not want a ceremony, a medal, or honors. After 23 years of honorable service, he just wanted to go home to his family and personal interests. He was liked very much and will be missed the same. We are only in this world for such a short time and in that short time; Randy made a wonderful family, many friends, and our admiration for who he was. I will miss him...I miss him now.

To the family, this light had to go and shine in Gods presence. It will also shine in your hearts for times to come. So look to the heavens and the brightest star and know that Randy "Red Lobster" looks back at you with Love.

I was at Ft Lewis last month and had lunch at the PX. As I sat down to eat, up walks Randy, who I hadn't seen since he retired from the active staff at the RSS, over 4 years ago. He walked up with a smile and a welcome and we picked up right where we left off. Caught up on all the great things the battalion did in Iraq, and he told me about how much he enjoyed working at his job working on housing on Ft Lewis, bragged about his family, etc. He looked pretty much like the photo with his obituary, full of life and enthusiasm. What a difference a month can make. My condolences to the family, I am sorry for your loss of Father and Husband at such an early age. Thank you for sharing him with the Navy and the Seabees.

Randy had the gift of being able to walk into a room and, with only a couple of words or an expression, lift our spirits and make us laugh. I want to thank his family for sharing that gift with us. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
