I have been thinking of all of you a lot. Found this while doing a search on Garrepy for my ancestry files...I know how much you miss her but you must believe she is closer than you think, it is just that she is not visible to us. Life is energy and energy does not die, it evolves ( she had an abundance of energy ). You will connect with her again. If you sit quietly and listen with your heart, you will feel her.

It's unfortunate that in our early years we don't fully recognize the identity or the effect that great people like Shirley Garrepy will have on our lives. Otherwise, we might thank them more often. Thank you, Shirley for giving us someone to admire and be inspired by. Thank you for the voice that told us we are the result of our best effort, and the shining example of a woman who gave life and love her best effort. While we will miss you, your voice and your inspiration will remain with us always.

Dear Aunt Shirley,
Our sadness travels across the miles....
As I remember the family trips to Arizona as a child... you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace.
