Roberto Cavazos
RAYMONDVILLE, TX. - Roberto Cavazos, 64, entered into eternal rest on March 14, 2012 at McAllen Heart Hospital. Roberto was born in Sebastian, Texas on January 29, 1948 to Lorenzo and Flora Cavazos.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Maria Cavazos, daughters; Anna Cavazos, Annette Cavazos, Sandy Rodriguez, sons; Roberto Mike (Christine) Cavazos, Lorenzo Roman (Monique) Cavazos. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He was honorably discharged and awarded the Vietnam service medal with two bronze stars and a Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. In his youthful days he was an avid horseman and listened to country music.
Roberto had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh, he touched many people's lives and gave them confidence and courage. He lived a humble life and his family was nearest to his heart.
Visitation were held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM with a holy rosary at 7:00 PM. Will resume today, Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 1 PM with a rosary at 7 PM.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lyford.
Graveside services will follow at Lyford Evergreen Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring hands of Good Shepherd Funeral Home in Raymondville.
