Dear Bob and the rest of Adelaide's family:
Adelaide and I were math majors together at Trinity College. I am so sorry to hear that she has died so young. Losing your life partner of 44 years, particularly someone like Adelaide who I remember as smart, witty, and kind, must be extraordinarily hard. I hope that knowing that even her classmates from years ago remember her as a wonderful person can be a source of comfort for you and her family.

Adelaide had a witty, wonderful & wicked (in a good way) sense of humor to go with her ubiquitous smile. She always added a spark at family gatherings. Adelaide & Gene Ford had a great time with good natured banter between them often with Gene just calling her ‘Flanagan’ when she got the better of him!
Her time with us was way too short and she will be missed. Sending our love to you, Bob.

Bob,
Adelaide was truly a friend of friends. She was always helping somebody in sickness and in health. I thank God that our paths crossed and we became like sisters. I loved her and will truly miss her wonderful spirit, great laughter and love of flowers.
Our condolences to you and Ad's Family Shirley & Louis Henderson Waldorf, Maryland

Robert,
My sincere condolences to you and Adelaide's family. Although we never met,she always talked about you during our many conversations.
We met many years ago during one of Ade's road trip to Boston and over time not only had many laughs but became close confidants. I am so sorry to have lost contact with her when she retired.
You and Ad had such an enviable partnership. Please try to remember all the good times; Ade's in a good place now.

Dear Robert,
I doubt that you remember Mike and I, but we lived in Colton's Point, MD and met you and Adelaide at Marie's summer
place. You and Ade had such a wonderful time canoeing that day on the Potomac River. I will always remember her happy and contagious laugh. She and you were "one of a kind couple". Please accept our sincere condolences to you and Adelaide's family. All the best to you! Mary Lou and Mike Jarrell

Robert,
My sincere condolences to you and to Adelaide's family. Although we never met, she always talked about you when we were on the road together.
One of my best memories was when she and my family went to San Francisco together. We were staying at a newly renovated hotel. She took care of my daughter Amy one evening and during that time purchased an ice cream for her. Amy was 6. Adelaide just laughed while my wife worried that Amy would drop the ice cream on their new rugs.
I was always sorry that I lost contact with her when she retired. I know the last years have been difficult for you and I am sorry for that, but she is a better place now.
Please remember the many good times you had with her. They will ease your pain.

Rest in peace Adelaide. I will always remember you for your quick dry wit and easy smile. One of my fondest memories was at Genes where we were side by side on chaise lounges, laughing as we discussed our mutual lack of domestic skills ! You will forever be in my heart.

To my dearest friend: Your vibrant smile, your contageous laugh and blessed heart will be forever etched on our hearts. I will encourage my daughters to embrace life (and sports)with the same tenacity you displayed. Rest in Peace.
