Al was my shop teacher back in the early '70s. And I just want to say he had a huge impact on my life. He was a very funny man but , more importently, he was a Life Instructor for me. I wouldn't be half the men I am today if it were not for him. I loved that man.

Maria, Cindy and Tony, I know he was your father, but he was like a second father to me over all these years. I know I learned more about life from Albert than anyone else I have ever known. He always made me feel good about whatever we were discussing, and ended every conversation, lesson, or just short phone call with a positive comment, that always brought a smile to my face. I feel honored just to have know him, yet be able to call him my friend.
His plate has been removed from lifes big printing press, but the impressions he left on the thousands of lives he influenced will continue to be produced in edition after edition after edition for generations to come. I am happy he will be reunited with his Elsie, but I must admit I am a bit jealous of all those about to meet his great wit and presence, and have him all to themselves!! He was a man I thought would always be here—and he will be— in my heart. Thanks for sharing him with me.

Maria, Cindy and Tony. I am so sorry for the loss of Al. Other than my Dad he was the biggest influence on my life. I feel privileged to have known him, grateful for having him as a teacher and honored to have him call me a friend. Quite simply he was the best.

One of the finest teachers ever at Walt Whitman HS. I took his class for four years, and will never forget his sharp wit and sense of humor. He was my favorite teacher.
God speed Al, you'll never be forgotten.

Mr. Fiorill...You were always easy to talk to. Next to your own family, I think I rode more miles with you than anyone, as you took me to and from school for so many years. My Irish humor and your Italian jokes made us a pair. You gave me my first 100 mph ride, one I'll never forget.Growing up in the neighborhood, I felt like one of the family. I will always be grateful for what turned out to be our last visit in May. You did your family proud, and now it's time to be at peace. Till we meet again...

Albert was truly a special human-being. He was a "good" man who lived life to its absolute fullest. With not a selfish bone in his body he has left quite a legacy for us all on "how to make our world a better place through getting along with one another". Our prayers and thoughts are with Albert's family.

It was definitely a honor to know Mr. Albert. I enjoyed working for him and being in his company. I will greatly miss him, but I will never forget him! He is the most noblest man I ever knew.

R.I.P. Gramps. You were the greatest man I have ever known. Anyone privileged enough to know you, knew how kind-hearted you were. You will be missed, but NEVER forgotten. I love you.
