On Saturday, August 20, 2011 of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late B. Vernon Frank; loving daughter of the late John and Mary Vogt Abele; sister of the late Carolyn Yagel, Marjorie and Marion Abele; aunt of George C. Yagel, Jr. Mrs. Frank retired from the US Navy in 1969 with the rank of Lt. Commander. Relatives and friends may call at Our Lady of Grace Church, 15661 Norbeck Boulevard, Silver Spring, MD on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from 10 to 11 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor, NY on Thursday, August 25 at 10 a.m.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

My Aunt Amelia was an amazing woman - brilliant, beautiful, kind, loving, articulate - a great storyteller - and an inspiration to all who met her. I am sure she is entertaining friends in Heaven with her shining light and pure spirit. She has met up again with her beloved husband; they have so much to catch up on! It was a joy knowing you, Aunt Amelia - enjoy Heaven as you so very much embraced Life! Peace and love, Barbara Ryan Wright
