On Tuesday, May 31, 2011, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved Son and Angel of Michael and Diane Kelley; Loving Brother of Michael, Jr., Patrick, and Kathleen. Also survived by other adoring family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Friday, June 3, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Church, 10103 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. We talked at length about your wonderful child and the horror of losing him so unexpectedly. All I can say is the most impressive way you two shared your life and allowed your son to be everything you could have ever hoped for him to be. He will always be with you and now his body is no longer is his way. Today he shares his zest for life with everyone he comes into contact with in Heaven. You know he's there and one day you will all be together again. You two are such a blessing and made Andrew's life more than anyone could have wished.

Mike, so sorry to hear about Andrew. We were out of town or we would have came down to the viewing. I can't imagine losing a child. My heart goes out to you and your family. My God comfort you during this time.

Mike, I guess it was 45 years ago this week that we graduated from high school and our paths diverged. I have thought of you many times over the years. I am sorry that I never new your son ,(If he was anything like his dad, he was a fine young man). I see from the comments and pictures that are part of this guest book that he was a blessing to you and your family. My brother's love of life & those around him was nothing short of miraculous. He could make any one laugh & could make a sad day a happy one. He loved everyone he met & everyone he met was better off for having known him. He will be missed.
