On Sunday, January 8, 2012, of Kensington, MD. Beloved wife of the late George B. Murphy, Sr.; mother of Marianne Perrett, Cathy O'Connell, Margaret Myers, Sheila Kehoe, Sean Murphy and the late George B. Murphy, Jr. Also survived by nine grandchildren and her twin brother, John P. Crilly. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Redeemer Church, Summit Ave & Cable Drive, Kensington, MD, on Saturday, January 14, at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. To All the Maryland Murphy's,
Our deepest sympathies. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Sorry that we will not be there with you but know we are thinking of you. You were the Murphy's that made us feel bery welcomed. Your Mom made us feel part of the family. She had a terrific sense of humor and a giving heart. As difficult as this time is try to remember a funny line that she said or something special and it will either make you laugh or at the very least put a smile on your face and warm your heart. Raise your glass to her for that is what she would want you to do. Again we are sorry that we are not able to be there. Wishing you time to pass quickly so the pain will be lessened.
