I got to know Betty just a little bit in the last months of her life as a volunteer at Springhouse of Westwood in Bethesda. She was a joy to be around, with an amazing spirit. I somehow discovered that decades ago, she danced on roller skates in DC! She showed me an old black-and-white photo of her with a dance partner, and I shared it with other residents. Betty was tickled. And I'll tell you what--she was a BABE back in the day!

Dear Aunt Betty,

We never met such a wonderful, loving person who taught us so much about life and how one should live their life. Your kind words and gentle manner will be missed by many.
