I met Betty in 1978, my first Administrator position, and when I reached the facility she was the 2nd person I met. Since then we worked together in five facilities. She and Johnny became family to me and my son. I feel that this is the end of an era, but our friendship is still alive. She will be remembered by so many and was an incredible person, professionally and personally. Love and prayers to her family.

I was fortunate to work with Betty more than 20 years ago. She was an intelligent, caring and permanent influence on me professionally and personally. Her faith was so strong and her battle with her illness so long I know she is at peace. My prayers are with her family. She was so proud of you and loved you dearly. I enjoyed getting the updates on the grandchildren as much as she loved sharing them with me. And to Betty....love you! Always

Betty Johnson was unique in her genuine caring for others - she took me under her wing 33 years ago, telling me to "Let go and let God" as I wept in her arms. While I don't remember the reason for my tears, I will never forget how she comforted me. I confided my deepest fears to her and trusted her advice with many personal and professional life experiences. I loved Betty and will miss her greatly. She faced her long illness like she faced life - as a self described "tough old bird" who lived life on her terms with faith, dignity, honesty and strength. I will forever treasure her memory.

God bless Betty and all of the people she made a difference for...her family, friends and patients. She modeled and lived all the attributes of a fine human being. I am proud to have known her.

Over twenty years ago I knew Betty L. Johnson when I worked and lived in Maryland, being employed in the long-term care field. As a registered dietitian she brought her knowledge, skills, expertise and personality into a facility's dietary department to improve the quality of food service and nutrition for residents in those facilities. I, along with many others, will remember Betty as a caring, compassionate and loyal friend, one who could be counted on if needed. She made a difference to many people, that includes me.

I'll miss my monthly lunch dates with Betty. She added value to the lives of so many and she was one of the strongest people I've ever known. You'll certainly be missed, my great friend. With love, Steve D.

Dear Chris and Steven,
I am so sad that this era of my life has ended with Betty's passing. I have been sitting here recalling memories of Betty since we first started our professional relationship at Manor Care Adelphi 40 some years ago. That professional relationship soon developed into a friendship that stood the test of time. I will miss her greatly.
