Dear aunt Mary and cousins, uncle Cal is simply one of the nicest persons we've ever known. He'll be thoroughly missed by all of us and especially Eddie who bonded with him in such a special way. He'll never forget going to the top of the cross in Spain with him and says there are so many things he still wanted to ask him. We feel privileged to have known him and he will be a part of us forever.

cal, thanks for your unconditional love demonstrated throughout my childhood and into adulthood. thanks for sharing some of your most treasured military memories from photos of you and your military family to destroyed aircraft carriers you helped disable. uncle cal, you are one of a kind. i can't think of more than a couple other people in my life who always were welcoming despite how you felt.

regardless of how you felt (strong, weak, tolerant or intolerant) you never showed anything but
niceness.

i trust our lord has prepared a wonderful place in heaven just for you uncle cal. i will never forget you.

Warm thoughts are going your way from cold N.H.
My family has shared lots of Uncle Cal memories in the past few days and it makes me realize how often he came to see us. Pulling nickels from behind ears at the beach house, getting his hair combed by 3 year old Nathan because he "looked crazy", boating on Lake Sunapee and taking a day off work to take me and Stephen sight seeing in DC when we were teenagers. Everyone should have an Uncle Cal!!

Love you Uncle Cal, give my Mom and Dad a hug.

Condolences from the Fegan family- Judy, Jeff, John, and Mary. We have fond memories of St. Jude's and time spent in the neighborhood on Kelsey Street. Mr. Nisson will join Harry and Lou Fegan at Gate of Heaven. We miss them all.

November 23, 2011

My heart goes out for the family. After talking to Grant and Keith, I do not have one memory of an angry Cal or Mary. All I remember are jokes and the smiles. I am sure God, St. Peter and Cal are telling jokes now. All my love from Mike Nisson (if you forgot) from Florida.

November 23, 2011

Hey Uncle Cal, it's your favorite niece here. Give my dad a big hug for me and remember, when the two of you play that first round of golf, don't stand too close to him in case he decides to throw his clubs away ... again. I love you and miss you already.
