CAROLYN AVERY FLATHER  
On Sunday, June 5, 2011, Carolyn Avery Flather of Bethesda, MD passed away. She was the registrar at Bethesda Chevy Chase High School for 24 years. Beloved wife of 44 years of George E. Flather Jr., a native Washingtonian; mother of Ann Miles of Takoma Park, MD, Jeff Flather of Kensington, MD, and Lyn Anderson of Newark, DE; grandmother of Julie, Jennifer, David, Erin, Jamie, Pete and Whitney; great grandmother of Sean, Aimee, Max, Mason, Braxton, Avery, Ryann, Zach and Ben. Graveside service and interment at Rock Creek Cemetery on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made toSimmons College, Boston, MA, online at www.simmons.edu/makingeducationwork or by calling 800-831-4284.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

My sympathy to the family. Students and staff were fortunate to have Carolyn as the registrar for those many years. Everyone knew that when a transcript went out from BCC it was accurate due to Carolyn's dedication and talent.
