On Wednesday, August 29, 2012, of Rockville, MD. Beloved husband of Anne McCarthy; father of Monica McCarthy Vacca, Joseph McCarthy (Jill) and Thomas McCarthy (Michelle). Also survived by 11 grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking) on, Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Shrine of St. Jude, 12701 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD, on Tuesday, September 4, at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. While I only knew Joe from church I also knew Jill from the now defunct Ambassadors of Fourth Presbyterian Church before they were married. An expression of sympathy was e-mailed to Joe and I do look forward to attending the memorial service tomorrow.
