Dear Grace and family,
As you know, our family moved to Carderock 41 years ago, and we became friends soon, and with all of our shar-
ing together, we feel a real void in our lives with Dan's passing. Dan has been involved with my family in such a kind and caring way -- always a warm
memory which will not be forgotten. Molly asked Dan to speak at her wedding
-- she held him in such high esteem. He was a man of such integrity, and his generosity and thoughtfulness always in abundance and with a smile. We are forever grateful you came into our lives, and now feel great sadness with Dan's passing. We shall cling to all those wonderful memories, and there are many.
Thinking of you, Grace, as we send our
love, Carole and family

Dear Grace-
It is with a heavy heart that I write to you about Dan's passing. He was a wonderful friend and mentor who inspired me to be the best person I could be. I will forever remember our conversations around the Carderock Pool. I only wish we had lived closer to you once I had my own family as I would have loved for my children to have know him. Thinking about both of you and feeling happy to have so many good memories to keep company with.
With great affection and love, Molly Bill Madeline Clara and Tessa LaPatra

Dear Grace and family,
I am so saddened by the loss of Dan. I will miss his warm smile, his love of conversation over lunch at the Irish Inn, and his friendship of many years. Dan and I participated on library and child care committees. His interest in the welfare of young children and in grandparent caretakers was so genuine. He was a wonderful man and I will remember him with great admiration and fondness.

Dear Grace and Family,
Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family on Dan's passing. Know that you are in our hearts and prayers as you grieve for this wonderful man you called husband and best friend. John recalls the various Carderock committees they served on together over the years; he served his neighborhood well. The Honig Family will well remember you both.

Grace, Mike & Jill, We remember how much Dan loved his family and his country and you all brought a smile to his face whenever your names came up. Dan left some large footprints while here on earth and we know you were proud of him and all he accomplished. And while we can't remember him calling attention to himself, we do remember him lighting up the room when he walked in. We know you will find peace in the warm memories of his time with us.

I met Dan in the early Sixties at the start of the Alliance for Progresss . Over the many years of working together in international programs I found him to be the finest person I was honored to know.

Dear Lazorchick Family,
I became a State Department Labor Officer in 1973 and that was when I first met Dan. I ending up doing Labor work in Caracas, Stockholm, Paris, Brussels(EU Mission,) Bonn, and London as well as serving as Deputy to the Special Assistant for Labor Affairs to the Secretary of State in Washington so you can see I had a lot of inteeraction with Dan through the years. He served as both and inspiration and a big help to me up until his retirement from ILAB. I very much appreciated him and valued his advice and judgment. Please accept my most heart felt condolances on your loss.
