DANIEL WILLIAM SULLIVAN, JR.
On Friday, September 9, 2011 of Rockville, MD joined the Lord peacefully. Beloved husband of Lynn Sullivan for 25 years; devoted father of Daniel William Sullivan, III and Kelly Lynn Sullivan. Also survived by his two brothers, Bruce and Michael Sullivan. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and later worked as an insurance agent for several companies. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service at Faith United Methodist Church, 6810 Montrose Road, Rockville, MD on Monday, September 12, at 10 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dan's memory to the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Attn: Office of Development, Harris Bldg. Dear Sullivan Family,
I had the good fortune to enjoy a business relationship with Dan for almost 20 years. We had many wonderful discussions about many things, but I could always tell how proud he was of his family.
I will miss talking to him and he was a great professional and true gentleman.

Dear Sullivan Family:
I only knew Dan as our corporations insurance agent. However, through his many visits and hundreds of phone conversations, I knew we were kindred spirits through humor, and I cannot tell you how many days he made a difficult day into a laugh out loud hysterical moment. For those moments I will be eternally grateful.

Lynn: I'm very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Dan in the late 60s and early 70's when he was an adjuster at The Hartford claim office in Hyattsville, MD. You picked a great guy! The memory of our working relationship and our friendship is something I'll always treasure. When I think of Dan I always smile. Even in his passing he brightens my day.
